Take a seat, Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are reliving the not so good old days. Her autobiography Inside Out made the actor really angry, but he thought he was taking the high road. Clearly, he doesn’t understand that writing about your life is not the same as doing the math. One is based on feelings, the other is science, pure facts. Let’s see what went down in Demi and Ashton: The Saga Continues.

Ashton Kutcher tweeted: “I was about to push the button on a really snarky tweet. Then I saw my son, daughter, and wife and I deleted it.” He threw a shade, and even continued:” For the truth, text me.” Then he left a number. Yes, Demi Moore did say some awful things about him, but it’s her book, her time to speak. Moore also spoke about her infidelities during her first marriage, her awful childhood, losing a child,… She didn’t portray herself as a saint, she just did what many other famous people did.

Demi Moore also spoke about Bruce Willis. The actress said that he was controlling and “wanted to do whatever the f**k he wanted to do.” Willis and Moore have three daughters and they are supportive of each other. Moore also writes that being a mother was the only place she really felt comfortable with herself as she battled drug addiction and eating disorders.

Now, let’s get back to Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, the not so friendly exes. We are not here to place the blame, but there were pictures of Kutcher and other women just before their divorce. She did not say anything that’s out of the ordinary. But right after he went to rant on Twitter, the actress shared how she felt body-shamed by her then-husband.

In 2009 Kutcher shared a photo of his then-wife in her underwear. She was battling alcohol addiction at the time. Moore explained: “When I went too far, though, he let me know how he felt by showing a picture he’d taken of me resting my head on the toilet the night before. It seemed like a good-natured joke at the time. But it was really just shaming.”

Yes, the same actress who posed nude can feel the shame over an unwanted photo. Because there’s such thing as consent, even in marriage. In a statement to UsWeekly earlier this month, a spokesman for the star said: “Ashton Kutcher knew what was coming. He had a heads up on what is in the book. He’s not mad or disappointed. This is Demi’s truth, and he always felt sympathetic toward her. He knows her story and that her upbringing was difficult.”

However, Kutcher’s social media posts suggest he is not happy with her claims. Every reader knows that there are three truths in marriage. But this is her story, her life in her own words. Kutcher doesn’t have to be so defensive, because he’s just a character. Let the women speak. Let her revisit part of her life called Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.

This is not a story about Ashton Kutcher. This is a story of someone who became a superstar while having so much darkness since childhood. Moore was part of the brat pack, sex symbol, highest-paid actress in the world… She is also a mom, an addict, a fragile person and maybe her ex should listen. And not include his wife and kids into it.
