“We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.” – Chuck Palahniuk ❤️ Whitney did just that! An Evening with Whitney: The Hologram Tour coming soon!

A post shared by BASE Hologram (@basehologram) on

The tour called An Evening with Whitney is presented by BASE Hologram. Choreographer Fatima Robinson who said: “Whitney was a musical trail-blazer and I’m extremely honored to have this opportunity to help craft this show in her honor.”

Houston was a six-time Grammy winner. Now she joins other celebrities to be immortalized on tour by BASE Holograms including Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly.

“We wanted fans coming to see this to experience a version of Whitney that they were familiar with and one that would remind them of why she was the quintessential musician and performer. Our hope is that audiences will feel like they are being drawn into an experience where fantasy becomes reality and the mind suspends disbelief…because amazing things happen when you believe.” – BASE Chairman and CEO Brian Becker

Whitney Houston Hologram An Evening with Whitney
An Evening with Whitney raised eyebrows

And, as expected, the fans of the late superstar aren’t thrilled. Twitter and Instagram users aren’t buying this hologram business. Some suggest that Whitney Houston would’ve hated it. Others are calling Pat Houston, the late singer’s sister in law, for cashing in on the tragedy.

An Evening with Whitney will kick off on Jan. 23 in Mexico, then stretch through April across 14 different European countries. The whole project is anything but naive. It took nine months to analyze Houston’s moves and make it as realistic as possible. Still, we agree with the fans. Whitney Houston died under tragic circumstances and then her only child lost her life almost identically. Whitney Houston Hologram will never be anything like the real person.

Is this the future? Whitney Houston Hologram today, maybe a movie next? And who is next?
