Gossip Girl Reunion: Kevin Zegers and Chace Crawford

Kevin Zegers and Chace Crawford, aka Damien and Nate from Gossip Girl, star in Nighthawks. Earlier this year, HBO ordered reboot of Gossip Girl. The original producers are working on the new series, but with the new cast. Kevin Zegers talked about Gossip Girl, Chace Crawford and here’s what he had to say to Us Weekly.

Speaking of Gossip Girl reboot, Canadian actor said: “It’s not the same people. I think it only works if it’s young people. I think you can generationally drop it down to like how kids behave now. Which is frankly much different than when we — it was at least 10 years ago.” The 35-year-old Kevin Zegers added that the new show “sounds fun.” Sure, we agree about that, but Gossip Girl, just like the majority of other shows, belongs to a certain generation.

Zegers praised Chace Crawford and their movie Nighthawks. He explained: “Chace is so good in this movie. It’s so different for him. But you know, there’s obviously the two sides of the coin, which is this guy with a conscience and this guy seemingly without.” He continued: “The audience gets to decide. I mean, it’s pretty obvious what the choice is, but it doesn’t always turn out the way that one might think. The good guy doesn’t always win in those situations.” Furthermore, Zegers said that he remained close to Crawford, since the series wrapped in 2012.
