You know Emily Ratajakowski. She is a model and a feminist; almost exclusively wears crop tops and sexy lingerie or bikinis. Emily Rata has her bikini line Inamorata, and she is the face of her own line. After all, she has that perfect body, so why hire other models, when you can do it yourself?
A few days ago she wrote and posed for Harper’s Bazaar. Her essay is quite good but people lost it when they saw Emily posing with armpit hair. Because in 2019, women’s body hair is still causing jaws dropping. Now, you don’t have to agree with her, but some respect is well deserved. Her new bikini line includes other clothing items, all of them are very sexy and tiny. The bikinis come in various patterns, with animal print and polka dots, and the inspiration comes from iconic women, like Bianca Jagger, Bridgette Bardot, and Merylin Monroe.
Emily Rata knows her audience and how to get attention and be heard. For a girl that gained fame in a music video, she did great. The video was “Blurred Lines” and she got bikinis business from it, commercials, media presence, and her armpit hair have been trending for a week.
Emily Ratajkowski knew that this is going to be a hot topic: “If I decide to shave my armpits or grow them out, that’s up to me. For me, body hair is another opportunity for women to exercise their ability to choose — a choice based on how they want to feel, and their associations with having or not having body hair.” And just days after she presented new Inamorata collection, so more power to her!
