Game of Thrones may have ended, but these epic cult fantasy series may interest you

Although it may not have given us the fairytale ending we all wanted, it did give us the hype that will linger on for a while. Game of Thrones dominated our TV screens and gained massive followership that wholeheartedly follows the series while it lasted.

From the constant desire for liberation to the intriguing swordfights and naked scenes, it’s hard not to like GOT. The series exhibited unexpected plot twists and turns across seventy-three episodes and showcased character complexity that locks any viewer in.

In what seemed like an emotional farewell for the fans and cast members, the series aired the last episode of its final season and finally brought HBO’s biggest TV show to an end. But that is not where it ends.

Thanks to GOT, more and more people are becoming obsessed with epic Fantasy Series

In the wake of GOT’s final episode, it left something behind. The demand for Fantasy Series that will explode expectations in a similar fashion as GOT saw a tremendous increase. This sudden crave for Fantasy Series only mean one thing-more people are going to be looking out for series with GOT-styled skulduggery and sorcery.

For this reason, many streaming giants are already bracing up for the task ahead. Some of them are adapting big-ticket books that will incorporate GOT’s interesting cultural phenomenon to engage our imaginations.

However, if you are so eager to fill the void that your beloved Game of Thrones series left in your entertainment lifestyle, these three TV series may be worth your while.

Black Sails

Black Sails truly replicate the feisty and courageous fights, drama and sex scenes of GOT in an entertaining, profanity-riddled pirate TV show. The series portrayed a great storyline of characters struggling to create a life for themselves against all the odds. It is available for streaming on Hulu.

GunPowder

GunPowder is available for stream on HBO and features one of the most popular cast members from GOT- Kit Harington.

Kit Harrington, who acted Jon Snow’s character in GOT, was a lineal descendant of one of three people who conspired to blow up the House of Lords. Talking about betrayal, torture, and conspiracy, GunPowder’s similarities with GOT sure goes beyond the character of Jon Snow.

The Last Kingdom

The Last Kingdom is a popular Netflix series that adapted Bernard Cromwell’s medieval-themed “The Saxon Stories” novel. It takes a medieval historical approach that makes for striking similarities with GOT-excluding the zombie wights and dragons.
