Here’s some serious Riverdale heartbreak: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart split up. Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones might have their ups and downs on the show, but Cole and Lili seemed stabile in real life. So what happened?
The on-screen couple started dating around 2017. Since they are still in their 20s, the breakup isn’t so hard to understand. Some gossip websites suggest that Cole Sprouse cheated. However, we don’t have any proof. Others even blame their co-star KJ Apa, but he is dating Britt Robertson, so that theory sounds made up.
As for the Sprouse twin and Miss Lili Reinhart, the couple tried to keep it cool during Comic-Con. Sources say they split earlier this summer, and they kept their distance. However, they put on their game-faces and in San Diego and the break-up came as a surprise.
Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse, brother of Dylan Sprouse, did not confirm or deny anything. They are still going to be all loved during the new season of Riverdale as Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones. But it probably won’t be the same, since their chemistry really made even cringe-worthy scenes, watchable.
Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse didn’t talk much about the relationship, but they did drop strong hints they were in love.
He refused to confirm his relationship with Lili, telling People at the time: “Lili and I are constantly talked about in the public eye.”For me, I think that it is being deeply informed by the love of the characters and wanting to see us together.” Cole continued: “I think that in many ways it’s offensive and an invasion of privacy.”
“But it’s also a badge of honor because it means you’re creating a chemistry on-screen that is so understandable that people want to see it in real life, which is flattering from a professional perspective.” The former Disney actor continued:
“Because whether you dismiss those rumors or whether you encourage those rumors, it’s giving people who are in my opinion are a bit entitled to your personal life more power, and you have to have spaces for reverence in the industry. So I just never talk about it because it’s not anyone’s right to know.”
Their Instagram and Twitter was a different story, as fans probably know. Which is exactly why social networks are full of their sweet photos and crying emojis.
