Kim’s Kimono Is Now Solutionwear

Kim’s Kimono controversy is well documented. Of course, trying to trademark Kimono just got her extra attention, despite the backlash. So, after being accused of cultural appropriation, Miss Kanye West went on Twitter for a healthy dose of brainstorming.

Being an entrepreneur and my own boss has been one of the most rewarding challenges I’ve been blessed with in my life. What’s made it possible for me after all of these years has been the direct line of communication with my fans and the public. I am always listening, learning and growing – I so appreciate the passion and varied perspectives that people bring to me. When I announced the name of my shapewear line, I did so with the best intentions in mind. My brands and products are built with inclusivity and diversity at their core and after careful thought and consideration, I will be launching my Solutionwear brand under a new name. I will be in touch soon. Thank you for your understanding and support always.

The shape-wear collection might be called Solutionwear. It’s not set in stone, but it is better than Kim’s Kimono idea. Kim Kardashian liked it after one fan suggested that Kim put her soul into it. Don’t get me wrong, I am not one of those women who want to put down other women, but soul and shape-wear? Nope, not this time.

The whole conversation started after Kim’s Kimono disaster. She defended herself, expressed her family’s love for Japan, but she’s been there. She knows what is kimono is Japanese history and culture.

The reality star said: You would think we would have obviously thought it through a little bit deeper. I’m the first person to say, ‘Okay, of course, I can’t believe we didn’t think of this.’ I obviously had really innocent intentions”. We are still talking about women’s shape-wear, remember that, there is a whole history behind it and no, Kim Kardashian West did not create it.

The whole incident didn’t bother Keeping Up With The Kardashians star. She is promoting her KKW Beauty, with a little help from her sisters. The makeup thing makes much more sense than the whole underwear issue. For one simple, factual reason: who wants to buy shapewear from someone whose body has been under the knife?

When it comes to Kardashian/Jenner the fewer things make sense, the better. Because that’s how PR works and let’s remember that there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Especially if you are a Kardashian.

Sorry, Kim, I am staying loyal to my girl Riri. What about the rest of you? Will it be Fenty, Kim or her youngest sister Kylie and her makeup line?

What do you think?
