Sarah Jessica Parker has it all, including her own wine label. The 54-year-old actress and New Zealand-based wine merchants Invivo created SJP sauvignon blanc. Previously, SJP had her own shoe line, perfumes, not so successful clothing line, in short: she has it all. Yet, she still talks about SATC reunion.
Before we get to Sex and The City part, which is always interesting, let’s see what made Sarah Jessica Parker create her own wine.
“I don’t drink out of a giant goblet every night — I’m not a big drinker. But my husband and I might have a glass of wine at dinner. We have similar taste and people make fun of me because the glasses we drink out of are very small. They’re teeny little bistro glasses, old vintage ones from Europe that we’ve had for years.” The actress clearly loves good wine and doesn’t care about clean living. She explains: “I don’t even know what clean living means. Or “self-care” or “self-care days” or any of that. I don’t understand. I’m like, “What? Clean living?” No, you just do your best.”
As for Sex and The City reunion, Parker has some new ideas. The third movie failed, there was a whole mess between SJP and Kim Cattrall and no one looked good. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that she’d still be open to bringing the show back for more episodes instead of a movie.
The actress’ iconic role of Carrie Bradshaw made her everyone’s darling. Here’s how she sees the future of SATC: ” I’m curious, the world has changed even since the movie. I mean, the world has changed so much, technology and social media… Those characters never talked about social media, which I think would be really interesting and just also sexual politics and the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up has really steered conversations about sexual politics, and I think Carrie Bradshaw would just be so greedy to share her feelings and thoughts.”
Parker also revealed that she’s kept about 75% of the outfits from her Sex and the City days in archives. She did not mention Kim Cattrall, so are assuming there would be no Samantha Jones in the reunion.
Speaking of reunions or revivals, Sarah Jessica Parker played Sarah Sanderson in the cult classic Disney movie Hocus Pocus. However, she won’t be reprising her role in the upcoming reboot. Sarah Jessica said she’d do that reboot, but the new movie will have a completely fresh cast.
