Karla Welch and The Life-Changing App

Hollywood superstars always rely on their stylists and Karla Welch is one of the best. She recently launched an app, Wishi, which pairs people up with stylists who help them with outfit choices. It’s like having a personal stylist, only Hollywood trained.

Who is Karla Welch? Her clients are Olivia Wilde, Tracee Ellis Ross, Busy Philipps, to name a few. In 2017 she was named as one of the most powerful stylists in Hollywood, so she clearly knows what’s in and what’s out, and more importantly, how to dress your body type.

What’s Wishi and how does the app work? “Wishi follows this system where we kind of onboard and ask questions exactly like I ask the celebrities and clients that I work with,” Welch explained about the process. “Then we’ll pair you with a stylist. You get three choices, and all the stylists are personal stylists, so they really understand what’s available in the world. They can pull from any online store and also your closet. After you’re paired up, you literally start texting them within the app, and they send you a mood board, or you can upload what’s in your closet, which is easy to do.”

Of course, this app comes with a price, from 40USD per month. But you do have a free 7-day trial, which will give an idea what’s the big fuss. It is crazy how much we rely on our appearance, but we are visual creatures and style is showing who you are without using words.

Hollywood stylists are as powerful as publicists

Karla Welch tells The Hollywood Reporter: “Friends and family and sometimes complete strangers have always asked for style advice. And I’ve always wanted to bring the process of how I help my clients to everyone. With Wishi, I have!”

Personal stylists are on the rise. They cost, but save time, get better deals and help mostly businesswomen. If you have a person who does your hair, why not someone to deal with your outfits?
