Teen Choice Award-winner Taylor Swift Gives Amazing Speech

Teen Choice Awards Winner, Taylor Swift, has backed US female football team in their campaign for equal pay. While receiving the Icon award, Swift also announced a new single and gave her young fans something to think about.

Taylor said: “One thing I wish I would have known when I was a teen is mistakes are inevitable,” she said. “You think you can possibly ace life, but it’s normal to make mistakes… it’s normal. That’s what’s going to happen in life.”

Taylor Swift wore Versace retro-inspired shorts suit and wore hair in a very Bardot style. Her skateboard award featured her cats, who also got a special nod from the singer: “These are my furry children, and this is a really proud moment for me that they are on a Teen Choice surfboard. Aesthetically speaking, this might be my favorite award.”

New single Lover, from the upcoming Lover album, will be out on Friday. The Swift nation has a lot to celebrate: Taylor is a confirmed performer for this year’s MTV VMAs, which is to be her first televised performance after the release of new album Lover. She’s nominated for 10 awards and she had quite a celebration over the weekend.

After Kid Rock attacked Taylor Swift for her political views, the Queen of clapbacks, Chrissy Teigen, simply called him “pathetic”.
