Jennifer Aniston is 50 years old. Can you believe that? Anyway, she recently opened up about the show Friends and how much she misses the 90s. Here’s what Jan aka Rachel Green for life had to say!
“I started to find my confidence when I was on Friends, for sure. In a way, being on that show was the ultimate trust exercise. There was comfort in numbers there, so we all held each other up. I miss a lot about that time. Having a job that was absolute, pure joy. I miss getting to be with people I love massively and respect beyond words. So, yes, these days I’m super nostalgic.” Aniston wrote an essay for the latest issue of InStyle and she pointed out how life was simpler back in the 90s.
“When I think back on the “90s, it makes me nostalgic — period. They were simpler times. This is going to sound odd, but there was a sense of safety in the world. We weren’t exposed to as much as we are now. And even if there was just as much s**t going on, we didn’t necessarily have it in our faces 24/7. It was lighter. There was a lot more human connection.”
Jennifer Aniston became an instant IT girl once Friends we on the air, back in 1994. Her haircut became iconic and she got more attention than her co-stars. She was an all American girl. When she married Brad Pitt in 2000 they were the ultimate power couple. Despite the divorce, the couple is still on good terms. Proof? Pitt was on her 50. birthday celebration! And no, they are not dating, just being civil.
Jen is back on the market, after her second divorce from Justin Theroux, back in February. Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox aka Monica Geller and Phoebe Buffay, are still her best friends.
After Rachel Green, Jennifer Aniston continued to film, mostly roles similar to the one she had in Friends. When she is not filming, you might see her in Cabo, her fave vacation spot, or on a charity function. She enjoys yoga, karate, and apparently, the 90s. So do we, Jen, so do we!
