Kim Kardashian is keeping up with the Sussexes and Greta Thunberg. The reality star said about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex: “I still love and value the fact they bring such attention to such important movements that need to happen and things that they’re really passionate about. They’re still changing the world.”
While Kim Kardashian West didn’t go into specifics, she’s one of many celebrities who are standing with the Sussexes in their war against the British tabloids. Ellen DeGeneres, Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton are just some of the names who showed their support.
The teenager from Sweeden Greta Thunberg is already a celebrity in her own right. The fierce environmental activist is likely to be the next Nobel peace prize winner. Last month she addressed the United Nations in New York, telling world leaders: “You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words.” And people were left speechless.
Now, Kim Kardashian wants to have dinner with the 16-year-old activist. Gushing about the teenager, Kim stated: “I think she is so brave. She is an amazing young girl. So brave and courageous to stand up to these grown-ups who can be so scary. Climate change is a serious problem!”
Kayne West’s wife also said she is teaching her kids about recycling and helping the environment. However, we have to point out the hypocrisy. Private jets, yachts, fast fashion, are the ones killing the Earth. We are way beyond plastic bags, and Kim Kardashian, just like the Sussexes should be aware of it.
It is interesting that she is siding with the liberals, considering her husband is praising the current president, Donald Trump. After Greta Thunberg spoke to the UN, he tweeted: “She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” Trump posted on Twitter, replying to a video of Thunberg’s speech at the United Nations climate action summit earlier in the day. Clearly, this was irony and you don’t need to be a genius to figure that one out.
Now, let’s get back to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. According to Vanity Fair, they are going into war with the royal reporters to gain control over their private lives. The source stared: “For them, the future is Instagram over the press. They are reaching a global audience that’s more than the broadsheets and tabloids combined, and crucially presenting themselves the way they want to. As far as Harry is concerned, it’s a way of cutting out the mainstream press, which is very convenient because he basically hates the press.” This raises a valid question: what will happen with objective journalism? Not that the royal reporters are objective, but this is bigger than them. And bigger than the Sussexes. We’ll have to wait and see.
