The Good Place is coming back for the final season on NBC on September 26. The trailer is here and it looks a bit depressing. But that’s what you get when you fall in love with a TV show. Every single time. So, let’s see what to expect.
Jameela Jamil, who plays Tahani, summarised: “It’s a tragedy to walk away from these people and this show and all of our amazing fans because it’s been the wildest experience of all of our lives. But also, it’s so cool to know we are completing the story as it was meant to be completed.”
As for the characters, Chidi (William Jackson Harper) is noticeably absent. Eleanor (Kristen Bell) is sitting behind Michael’s (Ted Danson) desk, which means she’s the Architect.
The last season has 14 episodes and the show creators explained: “We’re conceiving of it as an hour-long episode. It is a full, series-ending, wrap-up kind of a thing.” The crew teased some changes: “We’d never really had characters besides the main six who we were juggling week to week, and now we have a bunch of new ones. So that’s the biggest change about this season.”
What about Jason (Manny Jacinto) or Janet (D’Arcy Carden)? Oh, fork, we have no idea! The Good Place left us in a bad place with a season 3 finale, so we are looking forward to the new season.
As for Kristen Bell… She forgot how the show ends! Maybe ending it now is not a bad thing, since Bell is turning into such an Eleanor.
