Harry Styles is Not Elvis; He is Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid

Harry Styles is not our new Elvis Presley, but he may be Prince Eric in live-action Disney remake of The Little Mermaid.

Singer and actor, former One Direction member,  is in early talks to play the dashing prince,  The Hollywood Reporter says. It has been revealed that the main role aka The Little Mermaid will be played by Halle Bailey, of Chloe x Halle R&B duo.

The British singer made his acting debut two years ago and he’s a natural. Twitter suggested others, from Superman Henry Cavill to Shawn Mendes and Nyle DiMarco. We are rooting for Harry Styles, because Halle is only 19 and looks her age, so it would be cute and sweet to see her with baby-faced Styles. Also, there’s singing involved and there’s no doubt these two would be able to make some great tunes.

In the meantime, The Lion King’s star, Beyonce, made a fantastic video and described it as a love letter to Africa. While the movie The Lion King got mixed reviews, there’s no doubt that song Spirit is a modern classic. And that video… Talk about Oscar-worthy clip!

One can only hope that people who work on these remakes show Beyonce’s dedication because we are not remakes people. But we sure do love this new song and video. It might save The Lion King.
