We are excited for the final season of fantastic, hilarious and over-the-top, Canadian masterpiece, Schitt’s Creek. Dan Levy and his father, Eugene Levy created the show. Since they are leaving the Creek, we are pleased to hear that Levy Jr. scored a neat Disney deal.
Levy has signed a three-year overall deal with Disney’s ABC Studios. He will develop and produce scripted projects for the studio. Dan Levy and ABC Studios both released statements. As per THR, the actor/producer/writer said: “I’m thrilled to be partnering with ABC Studios in this exciting next chapter,” said Levy. “As I say a bittersweet goodbye to Schitt’s Creek, I look forward to the opportunity and privilege to continue to tell inclusive and meaningful stories that shine a positive light out there.”
Schitt’s Creek final season will start in January, and most likely will end in the early spring. The show full of heart and humor got four Emmy’s nominations, and we are keeping our fingers crossed this Sunday.
“Dan Levy has proven himself as one of the most creative people in the TV business,” said ABC Studios president Jonnie Davis. “His writing, acting and producing skills will be a tremendous asset to ABC Studios, and we couldn’t be more excited to be in business with him.”
